The Quieting of the Mind

It is the mind and what we think we know,
that limits the possibilities.
When the mind is quiet,
the understanding of the heart awakens.
In this are all the possibilities of the imagination.
...It is infinite, as are the connection with all things.
This would be the place of peace that is missing.
The love you have never felt.
The joy in life that you deserve.

The Tree

I am the seed from another.
The beginning and the end.
I touch the heavens.
I hold the earth.
I am a seed again.

My roots run through the Earth.
My branches spread through the sky.
I help balance the earth and air.
I give in return for what I receive.
I am thankful.

I count the years in my rings.
My memory is eternal.
My beginning was a seed,
from all the trees before me.
My seeds will remember all things to come.
My branches and my roots,
are waves like the ocean and the light.
My leaves are the galaxies, the stars.
I am a tree. I am the universe.
